The Velvet Underground & Nico — дебютный студийный альбом американской рок-группы The Velvet Underground и немецкого певца Нико, выпущенный лейблом Verve Records в марте 1967 года. Альбом был записан в 1966 году на Ладлоу-стрит, Нью-Йорк, когда группа участвовала в турне Энди Уорхола Exploding Plastic Inevitable. Уорхол, разработавший обложку альбома, был сопродюсером вместе с Томом Уилсоном.
The Velvet Underground & Nico сочетает в себе элементы авангардной музыки, объединенные с дерзкой, минималистской и ритмичной рок-музыкой. Ведущий певец и автор песен Лу Рид пишет откровенные тексты, охватывающие темы злоупотребления наркотиками, проституции, садомазохизма и городской жизни. Из-за резкого, нетрадиционного звучания и противоречивого лирического содержания альбом после выпуска не имел коммерческих успехов и поляризовал критиков.
