3:22Last night I dreamed about Mount Ida, I woke inside a forest I had a chance to go decide a dispute among goddesses Set the scene, there were three waiting immortals Each one lovelier than the last, they Asked me to sort out their little quarrel Of course, I had to obey Details fade away when you're staring at the face Of the ones who gamble wars and mortal fates With the game they had explained, a plan began to form Of the glory I can claim, of how to leave behind my name An opportunity I can't ignore; Father Remember when they took your sister, so many decades ago I have a plan to go avenge her, and find a bride of my own Before I tell you any more, I have an explanation I know who Mount Olympus roots for in this strange situation And so they made me the judge To resolve their grudge First up was Gray-eyed Athena She offered wisdom in war If you give me the golden apple You'll never lose a battle Then came the lovely Queen Hera She offered kingdoms and more Tell me what you want to be king of I'll give you all of Asia Ah What good is war, if you don't know who you're fighting for? What good are kingdoms, with no one to share your burdens? What good is gold, if you don't have anyone to love? What good is glory, and will it be good enough? Say I'm the fairest, I'll give you what you deserve The fairest maiden you'll find on the face of earth I'll give you love: a woman worth more than a thousand ships I'll give you Helen, I swear this upon the Styx Last night I dreamed about Mount Ida (what good is war) I woke inside a forest (if you don't know who you're fighting for?) I had a chance to go decide a (what good are kingdoms) Dispute among goddesses (with no one to share your burdens?) In the end, I chose Lady Aphrodite (what good is gold) For what is kingdoms and war (if you don't have anyone to love?) When I can have the fairest lady (what good is glory) So I'll sail to the spartan shores (and will it be good enough?) Woah... (what good is war, if you don't know who you're fighting for?) Woah... (what good are kingdoms with no one to share your burdens?) What good is gold when I'll have love? (what good is gold if you don't have anyone to love) What good is war when I'll have love? what good is glory, and will it be good enough?)
