Nothing But Time

There’s nowhere to go for you & I 
In these lonely days & restless nights
Beneath a sky stretched for miles
We have nothing but time

Some days I stare at my idle hands
Some days I long for faraway lands
Some days my weary soul retreats
Into a dark abyss of silent seas

Some days I greet the sun with awe
And can hear the trees in a wind song
Some days the golden light of dusk
Puts on a display just for me

We filled our lives with so many things
None of which gave us wings
Now we sit amongst our treasures
And long for friends & the sounds of laughter

Take my hand through the lonely hours
Let us harvest our dreams
Don’t believe we are alone
The heart is an infinite sea
