Clown

I wake up, out of bed
I got floppy shoes and a wig on my head
It might seem funny, but my job permits this
Let me just say I'm in the funny business

And I'm fixin' the frowns

I won't let anyone down
It's not easy, but someone's got to be the clown

A-woo-hoo, walk with me now

What a day, the sky is sunny
Sniff my flower, yep, that smells funny
Got my jokes, my supplies
A rubber chicken, tiny car, and some coke and a cream pie
Now look at this pigeon, perfectly normal
But with a top hat and a bow tie, it's hilarious yet formal
Give a guy a rubber nose, teach an elephant how to juggle
Okay, I admit that last bit's gonna be a bit of a struggle

It's kinda tough though, you know how that feels
You gotta compete with lions and magicians and seals
And everybody laughs when they see me fall down
But that's the best part about being a clown, hey

I can't imagine not making people laugh
It's like saying, "Hey, you can't be tall anymore, giraffe"
Nope, the gift of giggles, yeah, I'd sure miss this
